About me
I am a North Carolina native and my home is in Raleigh. I feel lucky to have lived all of my life in this beautiful state with its magnificent Appalachian Mountains and miles of beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. Growing up, I spent much time with my family at the beach and, for many years, I had vacation property in the North Carolina mountains. I am lucky to have biked, kayaked, and hiked in these beautiful places. I took many art classes in the High Country and still go each summer to take art classes from my favorite Italian artist. Other than traveling, I enjoy gardening, playing tennis, and golf.
I have a B.S. and a M.A.Ed. degree. Most of my career has been in education. Presently, I am a financial aid advisor helping high school seniors find money for college. During my younger years, I designed children’s clothes, cross stitch graphs, and needle point canvases. As a child, I painted scenes on rocks and made designs with pen and ink of cartoon characters. Yes, I doodled in my school notebooks!
